How to charge on the Mer EV network
Download the Mer Connect UK app. Register as a Mer customer or pay-as-you-go charging. You don’t need to have an account with us to charge with the app. Follow the instructions to start charging your car.
Consult our charging map or start a charge in your internet browser with the Driver Portal. Find the charge point you are using; select it on the map and follow the instructions in the portal to begin your charging session.
First create an account and register with us to order your Mer charge card in the app or driver portal. Our charge cards are small, recyclable tags that cost £10.
Activate your new card on the app/Driver Portal. Use the 8-digit code on the front of the card. Follow the instructions on the charger to begin your charge.
Contactless is available on specific public charge points with a speed of 50kW+. Once your charge is complete, follow the instructions on the charger and request your receipt.
In the app/Driver Portal:
No need to sign up – click on ‘Find a Charge Point’ and select the charger you require. Enter your card details and email address to receive a receipt once the session has ended.
If you paid via Apple Pay or Google Pay:
Enter the last 4 numbers of the virtual card stored within your phone wallet (not the last 4 numbers on the physical card). This will enable you to obtain your charging receipt.
To find the virtual numbers of your card, follow the instructions below:
Apple Pay
- Open wallet within the phone
- Select the card used for purchase
- Select options (top right corner) & card number
- The apple pay number is displayed below the physical card number
Google Pay
- Open wallet within the phone
- Select the card used for purchase
- Select options
- The virtual account number is displayed at the top
